Genus Oberonia section Platyacron

Genus Oberonia section Platyacron Schltr., Repert. Spec. Nov. Regni Veg. Beih. 1 (1911) 170

Stem very short, medium size to rather long. Leaf blades not articulated with the sheaths. Rachis papillose. Floral bracts along the margins strongly serrate or notched. Sepals in most species outside papillose or hairy; sepals and petals not reflexed. Lip at the base relatively narrow, with short auricles , much widening towards the apex and there with two very broad lobes, usually divided into two more or less sharply separated semicircular lobes.

Flowers greenish-yellow to dark brown.
