Epiphyte, slender, patent, up to 65 cm long; rhizome very short; roots filiform, elongated, flexuose, puberulous; stems eventually becoming somewhat rigid, the primary ones compressed, leafy, entirely covered by the leaf-sheaths; leaves erect-patent, linear-lanceolate, apex strongly oblique, subacute, at the base rounded, glabrous, thin-textured for the genus, 5-9 cm long, below the middle 0.4-0.7 cm wide; sheaths closely appressed, 2-3 cm long, minutely and sparsely verruculose-rugulose, apex obliquely truncate and with a very short, obtuse lobe opposite the leaf; capitulum nodding, subglobose, densely many-flowered, 2-2.5 cm diameter, covered with broad, apiculate sheaths; bracts hyaline. Flowers glabrous. Sepals oblong, obtuse, 0.55 cm long. Lateral sepals oblique, connate up to apical third, mentum short, broadly obtuse. Petals obliquely elliptic, obtuse, dilated in the middle, about as long as the sepals. Lip subquadrate, broadly obtuse, scarcely more than 0.2 cm long, spur broadly oblongoid, obtuse, 0.23 cm long, 0.2 cm wide. Column very short, one third as long as the lip, clinandrium 3-lobulate, lobules irregularly crenulate. Anther broadly cucullate, obtusely umbonate, in front retuse. Epiphyte in montane forest. Altitude 1100-2000 m.
