Synonyms:
Erect, terrestrial, 15-20 cm high; roots rather thick, villose. Stem erect or decumbent at the base, leafy, terete, glabrous. Leaves lanceolate, acute to acuminate, erect-patent, glabrous on both sides, at the base in narrowed into a petiole which is dilated and cucullate-clasping at the base, blade 3.5-6 cm long, near the middle 1-1.5 cm wide. Rachis of inflorescence densely cylindrical, many-flowered, 3-5 cm long, c. 1 cm diam. across the flowers. Floral bracts lanceolate, acuminate, dorsally minutely glandular-puberulous, a little shorter or longer than the flowers. Flowers suberect. Median sepal oblong, concave, apex swollen, broadly obtuse. Lateral sepals oblique, as long as the median sepal, along the front margin near the base dilated-decurrent. Petals obliquely oblong, obtuse, smaller than the sepals. Lip in outline oblong, obtuse, concave, the margins towards the apex incurved and swollen; spur almost conical, obtuse, half as long as the ovary. Column short; rostellum shortly notched. Anther cordate, shortly acuminate; pollinia obliquely pear-shaped, almost stalked; viscidium rounded, obtuse. Ovary cylindrical with very small backwards-pointing hairs, 0.5 cm long. Leaves dark green with white mid-vein; flowers whitish.
Terrestrial in lowland forest; 30 to 600 m.
Malesia (New Guinea).
Warm growing terrestrial, requires shaded position.
