Terrestrial in shady rain forest on humus, sometimes near tracks. Altitude 200 to 920 m.
Malesia (New Guinea, endemic).
Warm growing terrestrial, requires shaded position.
May to June; fruiting from June to July.
Easily distinguished by the obovate to spathulate petals and linear apical curve of the lip lamellae, and especially by the narrow, grass-like leaves, a feature which is rather rare in the genus.
