Stem at the base decumbent, rooting, ascending, ascending part 3 cm long, c. 5-leaved. Leaves obliquely lanceolate, gradually narrowed, acute, minutely undulate, mid-rib keeled below, to 4.6 cm long, when dried 0.7 cm wide; petiole channelled, including the sheath 0.4-1.4 cm long, the upper ones very short. Inflorescence erect, laxly many-flowered; peduncle 7.8 cm long, angular, with c. 2 small bract-like scales; rachis angular, more than 3.5 cm long. Floral bracts reflexed, lanceolate-triangular, acute, somewhat concave, 1-nerved, to 0.4 cm long. Flowers (in rehydrated herbarium material) slightly over 0.6 cm long. Sepals and petals widely patent, recurved, convex. Median sepal ovate-elliptic, obtuse, 1-nerved, with one rudimentary nerve on either side (always?), 0.3 by 0.23 cm. Lateral sepals obliquely ovate, obtuse, strongly convex, 1-nerved, 0.27 cm long, 0.18 cm wide. Petals ligulate, towards the base slightly narrowed, apex retuse, 1-nerved, 0.3 by 0.08 cm. Lip horseshoe-shaped, 3-lobed, pit oblong-elliptic surrounded by a broad convex thickening, when flattened 0.35 cm long, including the auricles 0.52 by 0.36 cm; lateral lobes widely patent, broadly triangular, hardly prolonged, obtuse; mid-lobe elongated, oblong-subtriangular, almost quadrangular, narrowed towards the apex, 0.22 cm long, at the base 0.175 cm wide, divided almost to the middle into two oblong, obtuse, contiguous lobules; on either side between lobes with a patent, narrowly triangular, subacute tooth at right angles to the mid-lobe and which is hardly shorter than the lateral lobes; auricles obliquely triangular, obtuse or subacute, 0.17 cm long. Column short, dorsally compressed, in outline quadrangular, towards the apex dilated, dorsally convex, 0.08 cm long; clinandrium concave; wings divergent, obliquely oblong-quadrangular, obliquely truncate, subretuse. Anther cucullate, transversely elliptic-reniform, apex rounded, 0.06 cm wide. Pollinia 4, united into two compressed, obovate bodies, 0.03 cm long.
