Type: Schlechter 18062 (B, lost).
Synonyms:
Plant 8—15 cm thigh. Rhizome very short. Leafy stem short, basally sheathed. Leaves 4—7; petiole 0.5—1 by sheathing base; leaf blade narrow, strongly obliquely lanceolate, 2.5—5.5 by 0.8—1.5 cm; base subcuneate; apex acuminate. Inflorescence elongate, rather densely 5—20-flowered; peduncle longer than raceme. Floral bracts slightly longer than ovary and pedicel, amplexicaul, recurved, lanceolate; apex acute; 1-nerved. Ovary and pedicel c. 0.5 cm long. Flowers 0.57—0.59 by 0.35—0.36 cm wide. Median sepal oblong-elliptic, c. 0.3 by 0.13—0.14 cm; apex obtuse to subacute. Lateral sepals oblique ovate, 0.27—0.28 by c. 0.18 cm; apex obtuse. Petals obliquely linear,ca. 0.3 by 0.045 cm; apex obtuse. Lip elliptic in outline, c. 0.4 by 0.25 cm; margins entire; apical part laterally slightly reflexed; lamina nearly semiorbicular in distal part, 0.2 by lamellae simple, fleshy, subparallel, 0.18—0.19 by 0.025—0.03 cm thick, vanishing below apex of lamina, area between lamellae flat and narrow, basal connection of lamellae erect; auricles elongate, semi-lunate, 0.1 by the acute apices subparallel. Column erect, simple; dorsally below the anther with a large appendage with a distinctly truncate and flat apex; staminodes short, recurved, at most as long as the anther, obliquely contracted to the apices. Anther broadly ovate.

Flowers greenish yellow, lip lightly tinged brownish, column at the apex dark greenish blue.
Leaf blade green, paler below. Flowers greenish-yellow; lip flushed pale brown. Column dark greenish blue towards the apex.

Epiphyte in montane forest, growing in shaded position. Altitude 1000 to 1700 m.
Malesia (New Guinea, endemic).
Intermediate growing epiphyte, requires shaded position.

Crepidium seleniglossum is easily distinguished by the simple form of lip and lamellae, and particularly by the truncate apex of the gynostemium appendage.
