Synonyms:
Terrestrial. Pseudobulbs 1-3.6 cm long, to 0.3 cm diam., erect, slender, fusiform, 3- to 5-leaved. Leaves petiolate; blade 2.7-4.8 by 1.5-2.4 cm, ovate- lanceolate, acute; petiole 0.2-0.8 cm long, channelled, sheathing at the base. Inflorescence 25.6 cm long, erect; rachis 14.2 cm long, c. 40-flowered, dense. Floral bracts 0.3-0.7 cm long, narrowly triangular to linear-lanceolate, acute to shortly apiculate, obscurely auriculate basally. Flowers small, not resupinate. Median sepal 0.4 by 0.18 cm, oblong-ovate, obtuse, with revolute apical margins, 3-nerved. Lateral sepals 0.35 by 0.2 cm, obliquely ovate, shortly apiculate, 3-nerved. Petals 0.3 by 0.14 cm, broadly lanceolate, acute. Lip 0.3-0.33 by 0.25 cm, auriculate, pandurate in outline, shortly apiculate, auriculate; auricles 1.2 mm long, lyre-shaped, subacute, widely divergent. Column 0.2 cm long, with a dorsal ridge. Leaves greyish green. Flowers creamy, lip yellow, column green.
Terrestrial in lower montane oak forest; 720 m.
Malesia (New Guinea, endemic).

We consider this to be a species of Malaxis, but to the best of our knowledge there is no name available under this genus.
