Synonyms:
Epiphyte, pendulous, to 90 cm long. Rhizome thin, stem-like; covered with large sheaths, unbranched or very few branched. Roots filiform, glabrous. Pseudobulbs 3.5-4.5 cm apart, compressed, obliquely broad elliptic, 0.8-1.2 by almost 0.6-0.8 cm in the middle; 1-leaved. Leaf ovate, acuminate, reticulate-veined, thin textured, 4.5-5.5 by 2.3-2.7 cm below the middle; base subcordate. Inflorescences 1-flowered, 1.2-1.7 cm long, in fascicles, with a few small peduncle-scales. Floral bracts very small, much shorter than the pedicellate ovary. Sepals elliptic, acute, median with ciliate margins. Lateral sepals oblique, glabrous. Petals obliquely elliptic-lanceolate, acute, 0.2 cm long; margins with long stiff hairs. Lip somewhat fleshy, lanceolate-ligulate, obtuse, 0.38 cm long; base truncate; underneath and above the middle with slightly curved stiff hairs. Column short; stelidia at the base rhombic, subulate; column-foot rather thick, almost straight. Anther cucullate, glabrous. Ovary pedicellate, glabrous, 0.6 cm long. (After Schlechter, 1913)
Flower light yellow with red stripes. Lip violet with yellow apex.
Epiphyte in lower montane forest; 600-700 m.
