Type: Kloss s.n. (Camp 3, 2500 ft.) (holo BM; iso K)

Stems 21-31 cm long, laterally compressed, 1 cm wide. Leaves rigid, closely spaced, coriaceous, entire, 6-7 by 1 cm, linear, lanceolate, obtuse, at the apex unequally bilobed; sheaths 2 cm long, laterally flattened, oblong. Floral head sessile, nodding, 2 cm long and wide. Floral bracts oblong, lanceolate, cuspidate. Pedicel with ovary 0.5 cm long. Sepals lanceolate, acute, 0.3 cm long, keeled. Petals shorter, 0.1 cm long, linear, obtuse. Lip at the base saccate, oblong, rounded, at the base of the mid-lobe with a rather large, oblong-truncate, retuse callus with two short processes on the outer face, mid-lobe 3-lobulate, ovate, with rounded lateral lobules, at the apex lanceolate, acute. Column curved, rather thick; stelidia oblong, truncate, large. Anther spur-shaped, large. Pollinia 8, elongated, pear-shaped, narrowed into the caudicles. Rostellum bifid, short.
