Roots elongated, filiform, shortly villose. Stems unbranched, terete, 40-70 cm long, many-leaved. Leaves erect-patent, narrowly lanceolate, 4-8 by 0.7-1.4 cm, apex acuminate, shallowly emarginate, mid-vein terminating in a bristle-like point. Inflorescences terminal or sometimes also lateral, racemose, pendulous, 4 cm long, elongated, laxely several-flowered. Floral bracts recurved, oblong, much shorter than the ovary, apex narrowly obtuse. Flowers c. 0.8 cm long. Dorsal sepal ovate, 0.4 cm long, concave, apex acuminate. Lateral sepals strongly oblique, 0.6 mm wide at base; mentum obtuse. Petals obovate-oblong, a little shorter than the dorsal sepal, apex obtuse. Lip from an oblong basal part widened to an almost orbicular blade, in total 0.7 by 0.4 cm, with a basal horseshoe-shaped concave appendage which projects slightly beyond the base and which has decurrent margins; apex subapiculate. Column short, rostellum ovate, acuminate, apex shallowly emarginate. Anther cordate, acuminate, apex minutely 3-dentate. Caudicle obovate, concave; viscidium ovate, obtuse, minute.
