Synonyms:
Bracts almost entirely concealing the flowers, 2-6 by 0.9-1.2 cm, becoming shorter towards apex of raceme, erect, amplexicaul, narrowly triangular, acuminate, incurved and sub-cucullate at apex, 5-9-nerved. (After Thomas, 1999).
Note: Differs from var. rhodochilum mainly in the peculiar incurved and hood-like tips of the floral bracts.
Floral bracts pale green with delicate darker green nerves.
Terrestrial in upper montane forest in shaded positions. Altitude 1750-2700 m.
Malesia (Moluccas, New Guinea), Solomon Is.
Cool growing terrestrial, keep in shade.
