Almost shrubby, pendent, branched epiphyte. Rhizome elongated, stem-like, branched, covered with brown, acute cataphylls, to 23 cm long. Pseudobulbs distant, short, 0.6-0.8 by 0.45 cm, narrowly cylindrical, 1-leaved. Leaves linear-lanceolate or linear-ligulate, 5-7 by 0.4-0.5 cm, acute, base attenuate-subpetiolate, coriaceous. Inflorescences fascicled, 1-flowered, surrounded with a few acuminate, short scales, forming a head up to 0.8 cm across. Peduncles short, finely pilose Floral bract hyaline, very small. Flowers outside white hairy. Sepals oblong-lanceolate, 0.45 cm long, rather obtuse, lateral sepals in front at the base along the margin dilated; mentum short, obtuse. Petals narrowly linear-ligulate subacuminate, glabrous, about as long as the median sepal. Lip at the base oblong-unguiculate, cuneate, in upper half 3-lobed, rhombic, 0.4 by 0.2 cm, lateral lobes triangular, obtuse, patent, mid-lobe in front ovate, 0.15 cm long, obtuse, towards the apex somewhat thickened, at the base of the lip with 3 thickened, parallel lines decurrent on the middle of the mid-lobe. Column short, stigma-arms short, apiculate. Anther quadrate-cucullate, glabrous. Ovary shortly pedicellate, clavate, pilose, 0.3 cm long. (After Schlechter, 1922).
