Synonyms:
Differs from the typical variety in the more slender and lower stature, in the smaller flowers, and the not distinctly spathulate lip which in front is longer carnose-thickened. (After Schlechter, 1911-1914).
Not recorded - apparently the same as the typical variety.
Epiphyte in lower montane forest. Altitude 900 m.
Malesia (New Guinea, endemic).
