Type: Schlechter 18751 (holo B, lost; iso K)

Epiphyte, pendulous, up to 65 cm long; stems somewhat compressed, somewhat rigid, branched, densely leafy, entirely covered by the leaf-sheaths; leaves erect-patent linear-lanceolate, narrowly obtuse, apex strongly oblique, 4-8 cm long, below the middle 0.4-0.8 cm wide, at the base cuneate; sheaths closely appressed, especially towards the apex rugose with minute transverse warts, apex obliquely truncate, with a short obtuse lobe opposite the leaf; capitulum subglobose, 2 cm diameter, several-flowered, initially covered with broad, apiculate sheaths which apparently disappear eventually; bracts hyaline. Flowers glabrous. Sepals broadly oblong, obtuse, 0.6 cm long. Lateral sepals oblique, connate up to apical fourth. Petals obliquely oblong-elliptic, narrowly obtuse, somewhat shorter than the sepals. Lip broadly obovate, in front subretuse, 0.25 cm long, above the middle 0.2 cm wide, spur subglobose, broadly obtuse, 0.15 cm long and wide. Column very short, less than half as long, lateral lobes of the clinandrium crenulate, large. Anther broadly cucullate, umbo obtuse, in front retuse. Ovary cylindrical, glabrous, 0.45 cm long.

Epiphyte in upper montane forest. Altitude 2400-2500 m.
