Synonyms:

Epiphyte, slender up to 70 cm long; stem branched, slender, somewhat compressed, eventually becoming slightly rigid, entirely covered by the leaf-sheaths, leafy; leaves erect-patent, linear-lanceolate, apex strongly oblique, subacute, at the base cuneate, 8-12 cm long, below the middle 0.7-1 cm wide; sheaths closely appressed, 1.5-2.5 cm long, striate, shiny, slightly rugulose, apex obliquely truncate, with an indistinct lobe; capitulum nodding, subglobose, densely many-flowered, 2-2.5 cm diameter, covered with broad, apiculate sheaths; bracts hyaline. Flowers glabrous. Median sepal ovate-lanceolate, subacute, 0.7 cm long. Lateral sepals oblique, apiculate, connate up to below the apex, as long as the median sepal, at the base cucullate-concave. Petals obliquely oblong-ligulate, obtuse, about as long as the sepals. Lip oblong-quadrate, in front truncate, 0.25 by 0.2 cm, spur subglobose, 0.2 cm long, 0.25 cm wide. Column short, half as long as the lip, glabrous, clinandrium 3-lobed, lateral lobes arm-like, obliquely quadrate, median irregularly few-dentate. Anther broadly helmet-shaped, obtusely umbonate, glabrous, retuse. Ovary cylindrical, glabrous, 0.7 cm long.
