Epiphyte, erect or patent, up to 17 cm long; rhizome very short, roots filiform, elongated, flexuose, glabrous; stems more or less branched, compressed, leafy, entirely covered by the leaf-sheaths; leaves patent, lanceolate-ligulate, apex oblique, acute, at the base cuneate, 1.2-1.8 cm long, below the middle 0.3-0.45 cm wide; sheaths compressed, closely appressed, striate with few thickened nerves, sparsely warty, apical margins densely fimbriate-ciliate with subulate setae. Flowers solitary, glabrous. Spathe broadly elliptic, apiculate, cucullate-clasping, smooth. Floral bract hyaline, similar to but somewhat smaller than the spathe. Sepals oblong-elliptic, apiculate. Median sepal 0.55 cm long. Lateral sepals oblique, somewhat smaller, at the base dilated along the front margins. Petals obliquely obovate-oblong, obtuse, 0.6 cm long. Lip broadly obovate, apex obtusely apiculate, 0.35 cm long, above the middle 0.35 cm wide, spur conical, apex truncate, retuse, 0.02 cm long. Column very short, half as long as the lip, clinandrium broadly triangular, unequally crenulate. Anther broadly cucullate, obtusely umbonate, in front ascending, obtuse, glabrous. Ovary cylindrical, glabrous, 0.5 cm long.

Flower white, lip apex with a patch of fine grey-green dots; anther light brown.

Epiphyte in montane forest. Altitude 1300 m.

Malesia (New Guinea, endemic).
