Synonyms:
Terrestrial. Stem few-leaved, rooting at the basal nodes, terete, 13 cm long. Leaves obliquely ovate-elliptic, acute, subsessile, 2.3-4 by 1.3-2.3 cm. Inflorescence terminal, 3 cm long (peduncle 1.5 cm long; rachis 1.5 cm long), the rachis densely 20-flowered. Floral bracts linear-lanceolate, acute, margin serrate in basal third, pubescent outside, 0.8 by 0.15 cm. Pedicellate ovary minutely verrucose, 0.5 cm long. Flowers externally minutely papillose-pubescent. Median sepal ovate-oblong, 0.3 by 0.15 cm, subacute. Lateral sepals ovate-elliptic, 0.3 by 0.2 cm, rather obtuse, margins involute. Petals trapeziform, 0.3 by 0.15 cm, rather obtuse, upper margins irregular-dentate, forming a helmet with the median sepal. Lip ovate, 0.3 by 0.15-0.2 cm, obtuse, margins undulate, outside with scattered warts, saccate in basal half, this sac with linear laterally flattened appendages. Column with elongate arms, 0.15 cm long. Anther cordate-lanceolate. (After Ormerod, 1996).
Leaves green with a median pale streak. Flowers white.
Terrestrial in upper montane forest. Altitude 1830 m.
Malesia (New Guinea, endemic).
