Type: Not designated (New Guinea).

Synonyms:

Leaves lanceolate, emarginate. Flowers usually solitary. Petals much narrower than the dorsal sepal. Mentum long, clavate, somewhat incurved. Lip with rounded lateral lobes and patent, obcordate-bilobulate midlobe.

Dendrobium cadetia (Blume) J.J.Sm. is only known from the exceedingly poor description, from which a positive identification cannot be made. It seems to be similar to Dendrobium versteegii J.J.Sm..
