Synonyms:
Epiphytic herb. Rhizome creeping, at least 10cm long, terete, with a few terete, pubescent roots. Stems to 2 cm apart, erect, terete, 5-leaved apically, 19.5 by 0.35—0.5 cm. Leaves ligulate, , thinly fleshy, 9.2—15 by 1.45—2 cm; base subpetiolate; apex subacute; nerves not raised below. Inflorescences 3, from upper third of stem, 8.5—9.5 cm long, sublaxly many-flowered; floral bracts 0.2—0.3 cm long, ovate-elliptic, with acute apex. Pedicel and ovary subcylindric, seemingly glabrous (possibly with sparse hairs), 0.7 cm long. Median sepal oblong, 0.77 by 0.16—0.17 cm; apex acute; 3-nerved. Lateral sepals obliquely oblong-lanceolate , 0.8 by 0.2 cm; apex acute; 3-nerved; mentum 0.1 cm long. Petals oblong, 0.63 by 0.15 cm; apex subcalceolate, acute; 3-nerved. Lip ovate-lanceolate, 0.31 by 9.15—0.16 cm; about a third to halfway with 2 subparallel, separated, short, lamellate calli; upper margins irregular; apex acute (and possibly subcalceolate). Column semi-terete, c. 0.15 cm long; column foot c. 0.095 cm long.

Pinalia semirepens is similar to P. microglossa, both have somewhat spaced stems on a creeping rhizome and flowers of similarly size. It can be distinguished by its longer stems with five larger leaves, oblong rather than lanceolate petals, and the smaller lip.
