Glomera sandaveri Ormerod, Malesian Orchid J. 1 (2015) 66.
Type: L.A. Craven & R. Schodde 1129 (holo A).
Synonyms:
Epiphytic herb. Rhizome and roots not seen. Stem semi-compressed, elliptic in cross-section, laxly 8-leaved, 17 by 0.3-0.9 cm. Leaves thinly coriaceous ligulate-lanceolate, 17.2-20 by 1.7-2.4 cm; leaf sheaths tubular, obliquely truncate, smoothly and finely striate when dried, exposed part 2.3-3.0 cm long; apex strongly obliquely unequally obtusely bilobed, one tip 0.4-0.8 cm longer than the other. Inflorescence terminal, subglobose, composed of numerous bracts, sheaths and flowers, c. 1.2 by 2-3.5 cm wide. Floral bracts lanceolate; apex acute, 2.5-2.6 by 9.6 cm. Pedicel and ovary slender, 1 cm long. Median sepal oblong-lanceolate, 0.95 by 0.34 cm; apex acute, thickened; 5-nerved. Lateral sepals obliquely oblong-elliptic, weakly falcate, c. 0.8 by 0.33 cm, inner margins connate for c. 0.5 cm to form a suborbicular, synsepalum c. 0.8 by, 0.6-0.7 cm that encloses the spur; apex subacute; 5-6-nerved. Petals oblong-ligulate, 0..9 by 0.26-0.27 cm, weakly falcate; apex subacute to obtuse; 3-nerved with branched lateral veins. Lip entire, joined to column for c. 0.12 m; spur semi-ellipsoid, c. 0.1 by 0.2 cm, with obtuse apex; epichile subquadrate, 0.28 by 0.28 cm; apex obtuse; 9-nerved. Column semi terete, c. 0.32 c m long; arms ovate, acute.

Glomera sandaveri is similar to G. bougainvilleana from Bougainville and the Solomon Islands but it has much longer floral bracts, a shorter spur, oblong-Iigulate petals (versus oblanceolate), and an entire lateral margin of the column (not with a gap).
