Intermedian growing epiphyte.

Appendicula maneauensis is similar to A. anomala but lacks the large, lacerate floral bracts. The ovate-lanceolate lip shape of A. maneauensis is unique among Papuan Appendicula species, which generally have a subpandurate lip, widened (not narrowed) towards the apex.
