Bulbophyllum nebularum

Synonyms:
Epiphyte, spreading, to 30 cm long. Rhizome stem-like. Roots filiform, glabrous. Pseudobulbs very tightly adnate to the rhizome, c. 1 cm by 0.2 cm; 1-leaved. Leaf ligulate, obtuse, 2.5-6 by 0.5-0.8 cm near the middle; base hardly narrowed. Inflorescences 1-flowered, very short, with a few small peduncle-scales. Floral bracts very small, much shorter than the ovary. Sepals ovate-lanceolate, long acuminate, glabrous. Median sepal 1.2 cm long. Lateral sepals 1.3 cm long. Petals obliquely oblong-ligulate, obtuse, glabrous, 0.4 cm long. Lip in outline oblong, obtuse, glabrous, 0.5 cm long; in the middle slightly constricted. Column very short; stelidia very short, acute, cuspidate; column-foot rather thick, slightly incurved. Anther cucullate, glabrous. Pedicel and ovary short, glabrous, c. 1 cm long. Flower white. Petals with a rose-red median stripe. Lip red, apex and base red.
Epiphyte in montane forest; 2500 m.
