Synonyms:
Roots 0.1-0.2 cm diameter. Rhizome creeping, 0.8 cm diameter, internodes between stems 5. Stems 1.7 cm apart, 39 by 0.3 cm, flat when dried, internodes 11, 5.4 cm long; 4-leaved. Cataphylls 7. Leaves sessile; sheaths 6.3 cm long; blade 15.7-17 by 3.3-3.5 cm, index 4-5, lanceolate, base cuneate, apex acuminate, glabrous, with 3 prominent veins underneath. Inflorescence 55 cm long, 20-flowered. Peduncle 32 by 0.2 cm, pubescent, internodes 8, 0.2-8 cm long; peduncle scales 4.1 cm long, tubular, apex acuminate, sparsely pubescent; rachis 23 by 0.2 cm, densely pubescent, internodes 21, 0.9-6.7 cm long. Bracts; sterile bracts 1; floral bracts 2.2 by 0.5 cm, lanceolate, apex long acuminate, sparsely pubescent on both sides, with 9 distinct veins. Flowers 1.65 cm wide. Median sepal 1.5 by 0.53 cm, lanceolate, apex acuminate, sparsely pubescent on both side, slightly thick in texture, 9-10 distinct veins. Lateral sepals 1.5 by 0.5 cm, lanceolate, subfalcate base oblique with short lobule, apex acuminate, sparsely pubescent on both sides, with 7 distinct veins. Petals 1.25 by 0.29 cm, linear, base broadly cuneate, apex acuminate, very sparsely pubescent on both sides, the middle thick in texture, lateral margin thin, with 3 distinct veins at base, lateral two branching into two. Lip in total 0.84 by 0.7 cm, adnate to column-foot with basal lamellae, subquadrangular, with 7 distinct veins, at base with a small sac formed by column-foot and lip base 0.11 cm long, with two basal lamellae, grooved along the median of adaxial side, slightly depressed between two thickening, on the adaxial side with two slightl thickenings above basal lamellae; lateral margin in basal half thin, entire in upper half, to the apex a bit irregular, apex abruptly truncate, in the middle with 0.1 cm long, acute, short acuminate acumen, glabrous. Column 0.47 by 0.41 cm, clavate excluding lateral wings, sparsely abaxially pubescent, anther 0.21 by 0.11 cm, ovate, apical margin entire, apex obtuse, glabrous, keel inconspicuous. Stem greenish brown, pseudobulb olive green. Leaves dark green above, lighter underneath; bracts green or light green with brown red spots at apex; flower bud gold-coloured with brown spotted; sepals yellow, petals with wine-red spots; lip yellow with wine-red edges and spots; anther light green.
Terrestrial in lowland forest; 540 m.
Malesia (New Guinea).
Warm growing terrestrial, requires shaded position.
