Type: Zippel cult. s.n. (N. Guinea) (holo L)

Stem creeping, sparsely branching, the branches 2.5-7.5 cm long. Leaves 0.4-0.6 by 0.07-0.12 cm, linear-lanceolate, twisted at the base, apex slightly mucronate. Inflorescence terminal, densely 2-flowered, sometimes 1-flowered. Median sepal ovate, outside slightly keeled, acuminate. Lateral sepals broader, oblique; mentum saccate, obtuse. Petals linear, with one indistinct vein, obtuse. Lip oblong-spathulate, narrowed to the base, with very small auricles. (After Blume, 1849)

Epiphyte in lowland forest; 50 to 400 m.

Malesia (?Borneo, New Guinea).

Papua (Indonesia); ?Papua New Guinea.

Warm growing epiphyte.
