Type: Schlechter 14677 (holo B, lost)

Roots elongated, zigzag, pubescent. Rhizome decumbent, short, fleshy. Pseudobulbs very short, almost absent, usually 2-leaved. Leaves petiolate, erect, petiole 6-8 cm long, broad, blade 14-18 by 2.5-4.3 cm, lanceolate, glabrous, base tapering to petiole, plicate, apex acuminate. Inflorescence one per pseudobulb, as long as or somewhat longer than the leaf, 6-12-flowered; peduncle erect, terete, at base glabrous, to the apex minutely pubescent, with somewhat distant tubular, acuminate scales. Bracts about half as long as the ovary, lanceolate, glabrous, apex acuminate. Flowers erect, or erect-patent, rather large for the genus. Median sepal 1.5 cm long, lanceolate-oblong, acuminate, dorsally minutely pubescent. Lateral sepals as long as the median sepal, narrowly lanceolate-oblong, base oblique, apex acuminate. Petals a little shorter than sepals, lanceolate-ligulate, subfalcate, base oblique, apex acuminate. Lip 0.9 cm long, ovate, margin in basal half serrulate, at base with a small sac formed by column-foot and lip base, short conical; blade with 2 flat, obtuse, convex basal keels, lip apex deflexed, tapering to acuminate acumen; glabrous. Column typical for the genus. Anther subquadrate-ovoid in outline, apex obtuse. Stigma dentate in front view. Ovary and pedicel 1 cm long, clavate, pubescent.
